I was drawn to the poetry collection due to the title.
Could it be as sweet?
I tend to stay away from reading reviews and looking at average ratings of books before reading something new, always going on my gut feelings instead.
I’m so glad I decided to give this poetry collection a chance and it’s definitely one of my most favourite modern collections that I’ve read.

Thoughts:
This poetry collection is filled with reminders about the importance of self-love and self-worth.
As sweet as its title, it brings to light the idea about being kind to yourself, the world is cruel enough without us adding on to the hate within ourselves.
The pieces are empowering and loving, reflecting with a mix of emotions. It felt like I was reading a collection of affirmations and reminders, something to always carry close to your heart and mind.

My Rating:
The book has a rating of 4.06 on GoodReads. I gave it a 5.
